Promo Shoot with Luke Caccetta: The winner of Yesu Factor

So, a little while back, I posted pictures from Yesu Factor! It was a show that my little sister put up to benefit her organization, Project Yesu. I mentioned in there that the winner was Luke Caccetta! Now, Luke is actually my, not so little, little brother's roommate in college! He was so sweet to play at both benefit shows put on by Project Yesu. And, at the last one, he was made winner! He is so deserving: a talented boy, amazingly sweet, respectful, a fantastic musician, and not to mention a cutie (aren't I right ladies!?). I was so glad he won! And part of his prize was a shoot with me for promotional purposes. So, we made the trip to Murfreesboro to get some great shots. I don't know the area too well, so along with Luke, his manager, and my brother, we made a day out of it trying to find the perfect locations. Now, the day before this shoot, if your not from the area, had a HORRIBLE storm! Flooding, tornando warnings, ran so hard you couldn't even see two inches in front of you. We were so worried we would have to cancel the shoot. Well, we woke up the next morning to an overcast, but clear day with no rain! We were so lucky, and I am so glad I got to get some great shots of such a deserving guy!

P Mother and Daughter Shoot

My husband is seriously my walking commercial. He is a waiter on the weekends and almost every night comes home and says "oh by the way I met someone who wants this type of photo shoot, they should be contacting you in the morning". It is crazy how much business he gets me on his work nights. And he always meets such wonderful people who want something fun, or are down for any suggestions or fun ideas. So, when this mother contacted me wanting to commemorate a new chapter in her life with photos, I had to come up with something really cute. I knew her daughter was at the age where sitting down and forcing poses wasn't going to fly for any length of time. So, I asked if she had a teaset....which, like most little girls, of course she did! And her mom jumped at the idea to have a little tea party at the park! When she arrived she not only had a teaset, but a bag full of fuzzy friends and some great books. We were in business! And is it just me, but are fun shoots where everything is more relaxed and candid better then shoots with stiff backs and poses? That is exactly what I got from this very silly girl and her sweet mommy!

Headshots: Hannah

We have a lot of friends in theatre. It is what my degree is in and was Dillon's major for a little bit. So I get asked to do head shots frequently. But this one was last minute, and only took 5 minutes. My best friend, who has basically been my twin and partner in crime since we were 13, asked me to do head shots for her audition on Sunday.....she asked me to do them Friday! But, it was no problem, especially when my payment was sushi and some much needed girl time. So here are some shots from the quickest shoot I have ever done!

G Wedding!

Now, I am still getting used to the whole HUGE production that a wedding can be. And when the G family contacted me for a wedding, I was very nervous. But, I had worked an event for this family before (I had the privileged to be hired for their younger son's Eagle Scout ceremony) and I knew how lovely they were and what kind of pictures they enjoyed. And although the morning started with some scheduling stress, we were able to capture every special moment of this VERY sweet wedding. It was low key and small, but it suited the couple so well. I had to pull the groom's mother aside at one point to tell her how refreshing it was to shoot a couple who were so much in love and had a look that cannot be explained when they look at each other. They made the day so easy for us and they had a blast the whole time. The grooms face when he saw her was priceless and during pictures all he kept saying was how beautiful she looked. You don't always get that lucky when shooting a wedding, so we were so grateful for the opportunity!

Trash the Dress: Kelcey

Not too long ago one of my best friends from university (the college I went to before coming back home to finish school and meeting Dillon) came to visit for a little before heading to Nashville for an audition. We both figured that since she was in town, and this was the first time I had seen her since transferring, that she deserved a photo shoot and I deserved something really creative. This shoot was not only one of the most fun, but the easiest shoot I have ever done. She knew exactly what I wanted without even asking, and when I did ask she was down for anything! And by anything I mean freezing cold water, a public park, and a man made mud pit by Dillon to lay around in. I couldn't have asked for a better model or a better friend! Here are some of my favorite shots!
